Software Engineer - Java (Warsaw)

Currently, we are looking for a rock solid Software Engineer - Java. As an Software Engineer, you will be a part of a top-line engineering team, building applications that reach millions of end-users globally. Your main goal will be to work together with your colleagues to craft scalable software resistant to high traffic and to optimize existing solutions. Your team will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of the product, and you will have opportunity to work closely with mobile and web teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality code
  • Creating technical documentation
  • Writing automated tests, from Unit to E2E
  • Integrating with monitoring solutions
  • Providing support and guiding less experienced team members
  • Cultivating software craftsmanship
  • Working in a team and taking an active part in agile ceremonies
  • Setting up CI/CD workflows
  • Keeping up to date with modern software development technologies and sharing the knowledge with other team members

Your profile:

  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Extensive knowledge of Java and its ecosystem
  • Willingness to learn new languages, frameworks and techniques
  • Experience with distributed VCS (Git)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools
  • Working knowledge of at least one application development framework
  • Experience with build and dependency management tools
  • Familiarity with Agile development process (Scrum, TDD)
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent professional experience combined with a Bachelor’s degree
  • Curiosity, desire to learn and proactivity in finding solutions and improving the quality of work
  • Good command of English (we work directly with colleagues around the World)

Software Engineer in Test (Warsaw)

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in building new and optimizing existing applications (serving heavy traffic, requiring high efficiency and resistant to failures)
  • Improving automated test coverage (unit/ integration/ user acceptance tests, end-to-end, GUI, etc.)
  • Operating in an agile software delivery methodology focused on testing new features within an iteration and providing near-immediate feedback to engineers through test automation
  • Cooperating with developers to design and develop tools to assist in continuous development initiatives
  • Contributing to and helping with maintaining the testing framework for various types of testing (functional, load/performance, security) on multiple platforms (web, iOS/Android, emerging platforms)
  • Resolving technically advanced problems
  • Keeping up to date with modern technologies
  • Creating technical documentation

Your profile:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience in test automation scripts
  • Good experience with Java or Scala
  • Understanding of the REST architectural style and how it relates to the HTTP protocol
  • Experience with build and dependency management tools (sbt, Maven, npm)
  • Familiarity with Agile development process (Scrum, TDD) and comfort in using the CI approach
  • Possess an out-of-the-box and creative thinking approach to projects and problems
  • Experience in working with Unix/Linux environment
  • Very good English language skills (verbal and written)

Nice to have:

  • Experience with web servers (e.g. Apache HTTPd, NGINX, Apache Tomcat, Jetty, JBoss)
  • Knowledge of client-side, browser-related technologies and techniques (HTML5, CSS and JavaScript) related to compatibility, performance and security
  • Experience with test tools (Selenium, Webdriver, Junit, TestNG, Appium, Android UiAutomator, iOS UiAutomation)
  • Experience with continuous integration and build tools (i.e Jenkins)
