Cloud Support and Operations Engineer

Paramount Tech in Warsaw plays a crucial role in Paramount`s global engineering organization. We build highly efficient, advanced systems which are used by millions of users all over the world. Currently, we are looking for a rock solid Cloud Support and Operations Engineer. This is a systems and application operations position supporting the performance and availability of the multiplatform web applications and associated cloud application infrastructure. Responsibilities:

  • Monitor network, server and web applications to ensure high availability
  • Open, update and close trouble tickets with detailed information relating to trouble reported
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of a wide range of applications and systems
  • Own production operational issues for products by issuing initial response, data gathering/diagnosis, tracking, and resolution where possible
  • Perform the role of Incident Manager during Application Outages
  • Assist Development and Infrastructure Groups with scheduled and emergency change management tasks
  • Administer Paramount’s CDN configurations to ensure optimal caching and traffic offload
  • Administer Paramount’s public DNS Infrastructure and day to day record management
  • Routine change request work for Paramount’s AWS Infrastructure using CloudFormation
  • Debug web application, iOS, Android, Roku, AppleTV, FireTV content issues
  • Debug HLS video streaming related issues
  • Skillset to automate and script day to day work

Your profile:

  • Experience supporting Linux/Unix based cloud environments and web applications
  • IT operational experience supporting robust e-commerce or Online Businesses in a 24x7 production environment
  • Experience with working on Puppet or Chef system design and module development
  • Strong understanding of internet protocols (e.g. HTTP, FTP, IMAP, POP, SMTP, DNS)
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Very good English
