Senior Engineer - Enterprise Application Integration

Paramount Tech in Warsaw plays a crucial role in Paramount`s global engineering organization. We build highly efficient, advanced systems which are used by millions of users all over the world. Currently, we are looking for a rock solid Senior Engineer - Enterprise Application Integration . One will be responsible for providing technical solutions and also for solving more challenging production incidents, also will support and lead developers within the department. We are a Python oriented multi technology platform. We use a wide variety of enterprise integration models, including data, application and message-driven integration, newest technologies, deployed both on premise and in a cloud (as containers and virtual machines).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new tools and PoCs for the integration platform.
  • Prepare and improving standards of software engineering process."
  • Solve production incidents."
  • Support and lead developers in their projects."
  • Analyze chain of events and apply technical knowledge following established procedures in order to resolve issues."
  • Identify and escalate issues as appropriate."
  • Operates effectively as part of a larger team and in managing own work."

Your profile:

  • 6+ years of experience in application/data integration environments plus a Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or other related discipline.
  • Deep knowledge of Java (preferable) or Python, including at least of one of the popular frameworks (i.e. Spring, Django, Flask, Spark, Airflow).
  • Experience in Linux shell.
  • Understanding of integration patterns and technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of relational database technologies.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (preferably Git).
  • Familiarity with continuous integration / continuous deployment process and tools.
  • Proficient in English with good written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have:

  • Practical knowledge of virtualization technologies (i.e. Kubernetes, Docker containers).
  • Exposure to major cloud provider (AWS, GCP or Azure).
  • Experience with any ETL tool (i.e. Informatica PowerCenter, Alteryx).
  • Knowledge of any of middleware technologies (i.e. TIBCO BusinessWorks, SoftwareAG webMethods, Mule ESB).
  • Knowledge of any of message brokers (i.e. RabbitMQ, TIBCO JMS)
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework.
