Systems Engineer - Virtualization

Paramount Tech in Warsaw plays a crucial role in Paramount`s global engineering organization. We build highly efficient, advanced systems which are used by millions of users all over the world. Currently, we are looking for a rock solid Systems Engineer - Virtualization.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, architecture and deployment of virtualized technology infrastructure to deliver systems and services with high availability and reliability
  • Take part in the creation of policies and procedures for Paramount’s virtualized compute infrastructure and ensure standards are being followed
  • Participate actively in the planning of IT Infrastructure strategy to meet the company’s business goals
  • Analyze and resolve problems associated with Paramount’s virtualization infrastructure and all related systems
  • Manage Cisco UCS environment that VMWare is running on
  • Research and introduce new technologies or enhance existing ones
  • Document engineering solutions and SOPs such that services are delivered in an effective and efficient manner
  • Provide expertise to the L2 team in the areas of virtualization as needed

Your profile:

  • University Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 3+ years prior similar duties and experience or familiarity with virtualization technologies
  • Minimum 3 years’ management and administration of complex and heterogeneous environments
  • Knowledge and experience with VMware vCenter/ESXi (Design/Build/Operations)
  • Knowledge of integrated converged stack infrastructure & hyper-convergence platforms (Cisco UCS/vBlock/Nuanix/etc.)
  • Foundational knowledge of Microsoft file systems, Operating Systems, and Applications (Active Directory/DFS/Server 2012/Office)
  • Working knowledge of tool sets such as vSphere, PowerCLI, vRealize Operations Manager, Solarwinds
  • Experience in managing solution lifecycles (design, POC, deploy, operate, migrate)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Very good command of English
